Ready to Party? Spring Clean Party: Time to Finish up

Well the party is over...for those of you that followed the plan. The cleaning is done. Put away the broom, hide the cleaning sprays and toss out the last bits of trash. OR go to my side bar click on the Spring clean series and start the clean because lots of us didn't get much of anything done.

I liked how she did this series. It was a lot like the fly lady cleaning. Most people just don't have a full day or two days to clean everything and still sleep. I liked reading here article today because it talked about her using her balcony for family area and not having a car. She lives in a high rise, urban area. Living in the Midwest this is so foreign to me. We have apartments around here of course but they aren't really high rise and even our urban areas (I don't consider it very urban) you still need a car to get around.

I have a lot to catch up on and if my runny nose, cough, stomach ache, fever, chills...blah...blah..blah would go away I would get going on getting my house in tip top shape. Mostly I am starting to feel better so hopefully today will be my better day yet.

Ready to Party? Spring Clean Party: Day Five

I admit cleaning isn't the main thing on my list lately. I really like the way this blog approaches the cleaning process though.

When I was a little girl we would spring clean and that was like a weekend from Hell! All three of us kids had to help out and my mom and dad would tear that house upside down. Everything got cleaned, winter clothes packed away, summer clothes brought out (do people still pack away seasonal clothes?) and each room got a top to bottom clean, not to mention the outside windows. It makes me tired just thinking about it.

Now a days things are not always that easy so highlighting a series like this is great because you can click back on it to read when you are ready to spring clean (or summer or fall or winter). You can take ideas you like and discard the ones you don't. So happy cleaning whenever you get to it!!

Ready to Party? Join the Spring Clean Party: Day Two

Day two in the Spring Cleaning Party will concentrate on your living room area. This is great because I have people coming over this week and I need to clean/declutter that room anyway!

My husband actually cleaned the carpets with a rug doctor on Sunday and moved the furniture so floors and baseboards are already clean. I just need to re-organize the room, dust and pick up the clutter. This is a job in itself. Happy Cleaning.
