Trying to stick to that diet? Having a sweet tooth break down? My friend Denise started a blog recently and she just posted this recipe. She also owns Mitchell's a caramel corn business. You can see both blogs to the right side bar. I am a great cook/baker and let me tell you, my friend is too so when she says yummy she means it. Check it out:
Today I am going to make these wonderful no sugar good for you cookies. They are made with almond butter and honey and are good for the no sugar diets and no flour. Flour is one of those things to stay away from because it is processed, and I am trying to stay away from those types of food for at least another week. But I am not going to add the flour back in....it is just one of those bad carbs, that does not do well on my diet plan.
Here is the recipe1 cup almond butter
1 Egg
1 tsp Baking soda
1/2- 3/4 C Honey ( I use a little less, but it depends on your sweet tooth. I have tried it both ways and the 1/2 seems to be great)
1/2 cup chopped almonds
Mix ingredients together and drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350 degree oven for 8-10 mins or until golden brown on the edges. Now the batter is going to be very wet and runny. I use two spoons to drop on to the cookie sheet. You must use the parchment paper for this recipe or else the cookies will stick to the cookie sheet too bad. These are very good for any diet. Yum.
