Christmas is right around the Corner

>> Wednesday, October 21, 2009

When I go into the store, I like to see the present season being displayed. I say keep Halloween up until Oct. 31, then move on to Thanksgiving and so on...

But that never really happens and we get hit with Christmas around every corner. Most of us have lost jobs, down sized or are scaling back on Christmas again this year and I wanted to remind you of my Christmas Corner. Here you can see some ideas and recipes I posted last year and as we move along I will add more ideas as I see them. It never hurts to plan ahead, make things if you can and try to enjoy the season instead of running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

If you have some ideas please post them and any websites as I am sure everyone would love to share in your ideas.

I know, right? You go into a store the day before Halloween and all the Halloween stuff is gone and replaced with Santa decorations.

Homemade gifts are sure to be treasured (and frugal)!

Also, I have something for you on my blog!

You know, in spite of the fact that I really don't like to see all the Christmas stuff out in the stores you are so right.

We DO need to plan early. I was just looking at a photo that was taken of my sister and I this past summer and decided I want to have it blown up and framed for her for Christmas! I wish everyone was that easy!

Thank you and I agree completely! Its getting too hard to buy for everyone and I love that you are helping everyone by giving them ideas! And I have to say that I find it upsetting to see all of the decorations for Christmas out already.

Hi ladies. I saw an idea on a blog for decorating outside for Christmas, that was free. I'm sorry I can't remember the name.

The blogger cut pine tree boughs and placed them in outdoor containers that held flowers in the summer. Tie a ribbon around the container and an elegant decoration is yours.
