Life updates

Life has been hectic lately. Work is good. The new puppy is good took her to the vet today and she weighs 3.3 pds. I will post a picture of her soon. The diet sucks but I am not giving up, I swear. I am sick to death of the cold weather and the snow that continues to fall. (we have been spoiled for the past few years with lighter winters).

My father in law is not getting better since his 'little' stroke. He has dementia, is not eating, lost 8 pounds last week, had a scope and they opened up his throat that had a blockage. I threw away all the food we have been bringing him for the past few weeks. The whole thing is just a mess and I am forcing my husband and brother in law to look at putting him in an assisted living home. This is not a nursing home or an apartment with help it is an actual home where a family lives and they have nursing degrees and take care of 2-5 clients that live with them. Both my grandmothers were in those and it was great, homey, and more home like for the family. It is expensive however my father in laws SSI will pay half and he saved a large amount of money through out his life so I think he should be able to live in comfort. Time enough for nursing homes when the money runs out. The nursing home will take whatever money their is in the state of Indiana.

I am just tired and kinda down I guess. I haven't even gone to the stores yet this week. I will post a more up lifting blog tomorrow (I hope).
